The Grand Opening

Posted on Posted in Uncategorized

Our opening day is now two days behind us as I sit here trying to write this, I’m still buzzing off the excitement of the day, still feeling humbled, still feeling insanely proud of how far we’ve come over the past 4 years.

If you’ve missed it, let me explain. Over the weekend my team and I put on our launch party to celebrate our recent move into a brand new home. Recently we made the big move from our Northamptonshire base into our latest acquisition, a 20,000sq foot unit in the heart of Bedford. The search took a while to find that “diamond in the rough”, but finally we have found a building ripe for development, something that gave us the scope to design our dream home for our booming business.

To describe opening day in a word, I’d have to say “successful”. One of the most incredible days for my business and my own personal career took place. During the day we welcomed over 600 guests, some bringing supercars, others representing the old classics and even a few arriving on foot. Our reach was country wide, from the coasts of Hampshire to the tip of the North, all regions were represented on the day. Something else bought a smile to my face, something worth noting, over the course of the day we were inundated by requests to take on 30+ services from new clients who have been broadly let down in the past by some of the dealer network garages and more established independents. Our philosophy is to keep the client involved from start to finish which seems to please a lot of our attendees. I truly believe this industry really does need the reliable and trustworthy independents whom bring vast knowledge together under one roof who people can trust. This gives us (as a company) belief in what we’re doing and the philosophy I try and install in my team clearly works.

Since the very beginning we have always strived to improve the way we run our business day by day, now with this next step we fully intend to stamp our mark on this incredible industry.

In brief our new home features separate offices, a new reception area leading to the large space beyond (when finally finished after our open day) this will become our client lounge and the location for our most treasured vehicles to reside. Also this will double as our handover bay as well as our very own studio for photography. Within the main area of the building there will be a further showroom, an enclosed soundproofed engine build workshop, a fully stocked parts store for our service team, as well as integrated racking for restoration work. Our aim with this is to allow our team to catalogue every part for each car in an assigned row. The team have 6 fully fitted workstations to ensure everything they need to prepare the car is at their fingertips.

So there you have it, a brief outline of my next dream coming to fruition. My team and I hope to see you soon (if we haven’t seen you already at the christening of the new place) so keep watching our social media and website for the dates and activities we have coming up.

Thanks for reading.
